State societies wrong in attempts to judge expert witnesses
LETTER — Posted Aug. 2, 2004
The courtroom is the proper forum to address concerns of false and misleading testimony. The effort of state medical societies to self-righteously appoint themselves as judge and jury of such questions attests to their arrogance.
Perhaps they also would like to subject malpractice litigants themselves to their imperious rule, eschewing conventional legal channels.
Their attempts to circumvent the law are utterly self-serving and absurd.
