Medicare official offers platitudes on Part D -- not necessary details
LETTER — Posted Sept. 19, 2005
Regarding "Medicare chief: Get savvy on prescription drug benefit" (Article, Aug. 22/29): Dept. of Health and Human Services Secretary Michael Leavitt had an opportunity to provide significant information to physicians in the AMNews article about the new Medicare D.
Instead all I read were a bunch of platitudes about how wonderful this will be.
No one will even tell us how this will work, and the launch date is November. Leavitt states the newspapers will provide us with information. Get real -- they manage to twist most things.
