Medical marijuana underscores a basic right to make personal decisions
LETTER — Posted Aug. 7, 2006
Regarding "Arrested development: The case for studying medical marijuana" (Article, July 10): I applaud the heroic and courageous physicians who are fighting to allow further study and availability of marijuana for patients. However, the broader point that physicians must fight for is that people have a right to do what they want to their own body, and any attempt to dilute that right is a negation of the founding principles of this nation.
