Calif. offers hospital comparison site in Spanish
NEWS IN BRIEF — Posted Nov. 26, 2007
The California HealthCare Foundation launched a new hospital comparison Web site in Spanish.
CalHospitalCompare.org en Español was launched in November to serve the state's Hispanic population, which represents more than 35% of California population. It compares performance data of more than 200 California hospitals. The site is the first hospital report card for the state launched in Spanish. An English version of the site was begun in March.
The site was the result of a two-year collaboration between the CHCF and the California Hospital Assessment and Reporting Taskforce. The data collection and analyses was performed by the University of California, San Francisco's Institute for Health Policy Studies.
