Minn. launches rural IT resource

The Rural Health Resource Center in Duluth, Minn., has opened an online health IT resource center for rural communities. The center is being run with funds provided by the Health Resources and Services Administration's Office of Rural Health Policy. It will use Web-based search engines to help rural hospitals and practices make the transition to electronic medical record systems.
The center also will promote rural health IT education, publicize rural health IT models and provide needed tools for hospitals and practices in rural areas.
