New mobile tool checks OTC drug interactions
NEWS IN BRIEF — Posted July 20, 2009
Epocrates, the mobile drug reference tool for physicians, has launched a new tool for physicians to obtain information on over-the-counter drugs.
Physicians can now check their patients' over-the-counter drugs for possible dangerous interactions by using the Epocrates tool. Physicians can also use the tool to help identify an over-the-counter drug that won't have adverse effects.
Epocrates is used by more than 650,000 health care professionals, many of whom access the tool on a mobile phone device.
