NEWS IN BRIEF — Posted June 14, 2010
The annual study conducted by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society Analytics that looks at the electronic medical record adoption status in hospitals will now include questions on hospital readiness to meet meaningful use.
HIMSS Analytics tracks the EMR implementation status of more than 5,000 hospitals in the U.S. through its annual survey of hospital chief information officers. The results of the revised survey with questions regarding meaningful use are expected to be completed in September.
