AMA members can use their regular username and password. Paid subscribers must obtain a temporary login. Details below.

AMA members

Existing Members-Only accounts  If you have already logged in to Members-Only content, there is no need to log in again. Otherwise, you may log on at the AMNews home page, or via the screen that comes up when you click on any content. (Show me) Select the "Members-Only" button to log in.

Need to set up Members-Only account  You can do that at www.ama-assn.org/go/members-only - or from the login screen at AMNews.

Need to change password/e-mail address  You can do that at www.ama-assn.org/go/members-only (using the "register" form).

Federation executives/staff  Create an account at Federation registration or log in using your existing account. Select the "Federation" button to log in.

Questions or problems setting up account  You can e-mail [email protected] or call the Unified Service Center at 800-262-3211.

Forgot my account info  If you try to log on, there will be a link to help you. Right under the "Login" button, it should say "Don't have an account yet? Forgot your password? Need help?" The link immediately below will allow you to reset your password.

Prefer to logon as a paid subscriber  If you are an AMA member, that will also work. Otherwise see below.

Retired members  All retired members, including those who are dues-exempt, can have full access to AMNews (and other Member-Only content) using a Members-Only login.

Can the site remember my password? Yes. If you check the box (it looks like the one right below), you will only need to log in again if you're at a different computer, or if you delete your cookies.

Subscribers

Existing accounts, AMA members  Members who have also purchased a subscription to AMNews or one of the journals, and who have set up an online account, can use their subscriber login to access AMNews.

New accounts, AMA members  Your new login should give you immediate access to AMNews online. The same is true if you change your username or password.

Subscriber accounts, nonmembers  You will need to contact the AMA Unified Service Center at 800-621-8335 to obtain a temporary username and password. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Using temporary login  Select the "AMNews subscriber" button to log in. The temporary login is only good at AMNews. You cannot use it to access content JAMA or any of the Archives journals. You cannot currently use a regular subscriber login at AMNews.
