More than 70 clinical information systems at the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase showed how information systems can connect to one another seamlessly.
Breaking barriers at HIMSS
Some exhibits in the showcase demonstrated how clinical events that occur in different areas of a hospital could be integrated into one patient file that is updated in real time for an entire care team to follow. The wide range of focus of systems at the showcase included ambulatory, inpatient, emergency, chronic care, prescribing, public health and clinical research.
