About the program
"American Medical News on ReachMD" is a 15-minute radio program drawn from the pages of American Medical News. The segments include interviews with physicians and newsmakers affecting doctors' practice life.
The program appears on a 24-hour-a-day physicians' radio channel operated by Northbrook, Ill.-based ReachMD. The "American Medical News on ReachMD" program premiered March 26, 2007 (See our announcement).

Program schedule
"American Medical News on ReachMD" airs once every six hours. There are four opportunities a day, or 28 a week, to listen.
Here are the scheduled broadcast times:
Monday: 6:30am, 12:30pm, 6:30pm, 12:30am
Tuesday: 10:30am, 4:30pm, 10:30pm, 4:30pm
Wednesday: 8:30am, 2:30pm, 8:30pm, 2:30am
Thursday: 6:30am, 12:30pm, 6:30pm, 12:30am
Friday: 10:30am, 4:30pm, 10:30pm, 4:30am
Saturday: 8:30am, 2:30pm, 8:30pm, 2:30pm
Sunday: 7:30am, 1:30pm, 7:30pm, 1:30am
All times are EST/PST. Programs premiere Tuesday mornings at 10:30 and repeat until the last airing Monday night.

How do I get the radio broadcast? Listeners with an XM receiver and a paid XM subscription can tune in to Channel 160.
Can I get it on my regular, old-fashioned radio? No. XM requires an XM receiver. These devices are widely available.
Can I get the program listings without subscribing to XM? Yes. Free registration at ReachMD lets you access full program listings.
Does each program include an entire issue of AMNews? No. The top stories of the week are selected and condensed for a 15-minute radio program.
Does the same program repeat throughout the week? Yes. The 10:30 am show on Tuesday is the premiere of the newest program, which repeats at four convenient times daily until the following Monday evening. See the program schedule above.
Can I get this on my cell phone? No. ReachMD offers short-format CME and CE programs via phone. However, the AMNews program is not available in this format.
How do I listen to the program here at the site? You can either click on the link to play, or save the file (right-click and choose Save target as) for future use on your local device. When you click on the link (or double-click a saved file), your preferred media player should launch.
Do I have to be an AMNews subscriber or AMA member to hear the broadcast online? No. However, the program is designed for physicians and other health professionals.
I don't have a media player, or can't get it to work... MP3 files can easily be played, on either Windows or Mac OS systems, using QuickTime. This media player is available free at QuickTime.com (download the free player, not the paid service).
My player launches but there is no sound... You may need to adjust your volume controls. You should check the controls for both the computer's speakers and the media player itself.
