Purchasing a subscription
Subscribing. You can purchase a subscription to American Medical News online at the AMA's subscription center. (Show me)
The subscription center pages all say "JAMA & Archives" but they do include American Medical News. (Show me)
Your print subscription includes online access (even though the online order form still says "print only"). We apologize for the confusion. (Show me)
Logging on. Once you purchase a subscription, the subscription center will prompt you to activate your online account, saying you will have access immediately. (Show me) Currently, this will work for AMNews only if you are a member of the AMA. If not, online activation will give you immediate access only to the clinical journals. To obtain access to AMNews online, you will need to call the Unified Service Center at 800-262-3211 and get a temporary login.
Do not select the "online only" subscription type. (Show me) If you do, AMNews will not be listed as an option. It is not currently possible to purchase a subscription only for online access; only print subscriptions are available. We apologize for the inconvenience. However, we have received a number of inquiries regarding online subscriptions, and hope to be able to offer this type of access to readers as time goes on.
