JAMA editorial independence reaffirmed
NEWS IN BRIEF — Posted July 5, 2004
Members of the AMA's House of Delegates reaffirmed the editorial independence of the Journal of the American Medical Association when they gathered for their Annual Meeting in June in Chicago.
Delegates also recommended that the AMA Board of Trustees discuss with the JAMA editor and the Journal Oversight Committee options for placing disclaimers in JAMA and the Archives journals that indicate that editorial content within the journals does not represent official AMA policy.
