McKesson announces stock buyback

McKesson Corp., which sells software to physicians and hospitals, announced Aug. 29 that its board of directors had authorized the repurchase of up to $250 million of its common stock in the open market or in private transactions.
The new stock buyback program follows the recent completion of a previous $250 million repurchase program authorized in October 2003.
