Insurer claim-checker raises $10 million

Enclarity Inc. announced Jan. 8 that it raised $10 million from a group led by Bain Capital Ventures. The Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based company will use the funding to expand its operations. The company sells Internet-based software that enables insurance companies to find and correct inaccurate or incomplete demographic information in physician and hospital claims. Enclarity's product, among other things, checks the accuracy of a physician's name, address and tax identification and DEA numbers.
