Pa. personal health records go mobile

Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania announced Jan. 29 that it will offer its members secure access to their personal health records on cell phones, handheld wireless devices and personal computers. The Wilkes-Barre, Pa.-based insurer plans to offer the records to 100,000 members by July 1, and eventually to all its 600,000 members, using software from Diversinet Corp., Toronto. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
