Mass. tops in e-prescribing

Massachusetts leads the nation in writing the most electronic prescriptions, according to a survey by SureScripts, a pharmacy information transfer company owned by the nation's major drugstore chains.
Last year's leading e-prescriber, Rhode Island, slipped to second, according to SureScripts. It was followed by Nevada, Delaware, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, New Jersey, Ohio and Washington. Virginia and Florida, in last year's inaugural SureScripts list, dropped out of the top 10 this year.
