Clinic operator signs on Baylor
NEWS IN BRIEF — Posted March 26, 2007
Baylor Health Care System, which has eight acute care hospitals, four specialty hospitals and several primary care and wellness centers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, has partnered with in-store clinic operator MedBasics.
MedBasics operates two convenient care clinics in Dallas and plans to open 500 nationwide by 2010. Under the agreement, Baylor will identify a corporate medical director for new MedBasics clinics, starting with those opening this summer.
The Baylor-identified medical directors will provide oversight to nurse practitioners or physician assistants at each clinic location.
