Federation elects new leaders

Indiana urologist N. Stacy Lankford, MD, was installed as board chair of the Federation of State Medical Boards, and Alabama family physician Regina Benjamin, MD, was voted chair-elect during the federation's annual meeting last month.
Dr. Lankford is on the Medical Licensing Board of Indiana. Dr. Benjamin is founder and CEO of the Bayou La Batre Rural Health Clinic in Bayou La Batre, Ala., and incoming vice chair of the American Medical Association Council on Ethical and Judicial Affairs.
James Andriole, DO, of the Florida Board of Osteopathic Medicine, was elected to a three-year term on the federation's board of directors. Re-elected to three-year terms were Martin Crane, MD, of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine, and Kim Edward LeBlanc, MD, PhD, of the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. Curtis Harris, MD, of the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision, was elected to a two-year term.
