Abortion participation just as sullying to medicine as aiding in executions
LETTER — Posted July 16, 2007
Regarding "Physicians resist push for execution involvement" (Article, May 14): Atlanta internist Kelly Thrasher, MD (a plaintiff in a case seeking the state medical board punish doctors who aid in executions) has it exactly right in your article.
Physicians who participate in executions sully the profession.
It is encouraging that state corrections departments have great difficulty finding doctors willing to participate even by observing.
So why do we have doctors willing to actually perform executions -- of the innocent -- in the womb?
