NEWS IN BRIEF — Posted Aug. 6, 2007
The American Medical Association has donated $1 million to help the National Health Museum in Washington, D.C. The museum has offices and Internet programs and is working to create a permanent site.
"As Americans continue to suffer from preventable health problems such as obesity and smoking-related illness, educational tools such as the National Health Museum can help better educate patients on the best ways to stay healthy," AMA President Ron Davis, MD, said in a statement.
