Medicare contractors' good grades
NEWS IN BRIEF — Posted Aug. 27, 2007
For the second year in a row, physicians and other health professionals who deal with Medicare contractors to process claims said they are largely satisfied with services they receive. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services conducted the second annual Medicare Contractor Provider Satisfaction Survey earlier this year. Some 85% of respondents rated their Medicare contractors between four and six on a six-point scale.
The survey randomly selected more than 36,000 physicians, other health care practitioners, suppliers and institutional facilities to participate. Out of those who were contacted for the survey, 65% responded.
