The American Medical Association and Discovery Health have teamed up to create the "Medicine & the Media" internship, a four-week program available to AMA medical student and resident/fellow members.

During the internship, a medical student and a resident or fellow will translate scientific evidence into a medical education broadcast for the Discovery Health Channel. They will work primarily at Discovery Communications' headquarters in Silver Spring, Md., and travel to various locations for video shoots.

A stipend of $3,000 will cover living expenses for each intern. Dates and length of internships are flexible, but summer is preferred.

Applications are due April 17 and are available online, in pdf (link).
