EMR article was too positive
LETTER — Posted June 2, 2008
Regarding "EMR success stories: Practices that are thriving after the changeover" (Article, May 5): The article was completely unbalanced. The four "success stories" should have been contrasted with four practices that have found present-day electronic medical record systems to be expensive, difficult to use, and dysfunctional. The computer industry has failed to develop voice-driven, intuitive software that follows the thinking patterns we were all taught in medical school.
