Massachusetts reforms reduce uninsured rate by almost half

The percentage of uninsured Massachusetts residents dropped from 13% in fall 2006 to 7.1% in fall 2007 -- the first full year after the state began implementing Commonwealth Connector, its comprehensive health system reform program, according to a new Urban Institute report. The study was published in Health Affairs online on June 3(link).
