Wis. health care system extends hours
NEWS IN BRIEF — Posted Sept. 22, 2008
Aurora Health Care, based in Milwaukee, is implementing what it's branding as its Time-Starved Family initiative, in which all its clinics will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, along with some Saturday hours. All clinics are expected to expand their hours by mid-2009.
"The patients were clear. They wanted to see their physician during nontraditional hours," said Jeffrey Bailet, MD, president of Aurora Medical Group. He said patients have particularly welcomed the weekend hours.
