WebMD makes deal with marketing firm

WebMD Health Corp. has reached an agreement to buy Marketing Technology Solutions in a $50 million deal.
New York-based WebMD, which runs a network of health-related Web sites, including WebMD.com, will purchase the Jersey City, N.J.-based marketing firm whose flagship Web site is QualityHealth.com, which delivers targeted and personalized health information to its users.
QualityHealth.com has approximately 5.5 million unique visitors per month and WebMD has approximately 48 million visitors to its various Web sites.
The deal also includes an additional $25 million if specific performance measures are reached by MTS in 2009.
