Microsoft user group expands
NEWS IN BRIEF — Posted Nov. 24, 2008
Microsoft HUG, the health information technology user group created by Microsoft, has expanded to Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The expansion, announced by Microsoft and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society earlier this month, will allow users from countries in those regions to collaborate online with users and developers of systems designed on the Microsoft platform. User group participants can discuss new uses for existing technologies, collaborate with other users, network and discuss health IT needs and solutions.
The group has 5,000 members and 31 corporate supporters. A technology user group allows customers to speak with each other, and perhaps meet in person, in a more formalized setting to discuss the products they use.
