Cleveland Clinic strikes deal with MinuteClinic

The Cleveland Clinic and MinuteClinic, the CVS Caremark-owned retail clinic operator, have entered into a partnership. The association will, by the end of 2009, involve nine MinuteClinic locations in northeast Ohio, all linked to the Cleveland Clinic.
The clinics will operate under MinuteClinic's nurse-practitioner model, with oversight by a medical director appointed by the Cleveland Clinic Health System.
As part of the collaboration, Cleveland Clinic and the MinuteClinic locations will fully integrate their electronic medical records.
