Study: EHRs can test drug efficacy

A recent study from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine found that electronic health records can be used to test drug efficacy.
The research team found patient data stored in an EHR could be used as effectively as randomized clinical trials. The study appeared in the online version of the BMJ (link).
