HHS funds new disability center

The Dept. of Health and Human Services has awarded $6 million to Mathematica Policy Research Inc., over two years, to establish a research center for people with disabilities.
In announcing the awards May 6, HHS said the data collected by the Center of Excellence in Research on Disability Services, Care Coordination and Integration will compare the effectiveness of services provided to people with disabilities. The center will research and publicize relevant information for patients, doctors, caregivers and policymakers.
