NEWS IN BRIEF — Posted Nov. 22, 2010
The American Medical Group Assn. has started a learning collaborative to help health care institutions implement plans developed for an accountable care organization, the group announced on Nov. 10. The first meetings are scheduled for Jan. 26-28, 2011, in Scottsdale, Ariz.
This is one of two ACO learning collaboratives recently created by the organization. The other one, for entities at the development phase, met Oct. 1-2 in Hollywood, Fla.
Members of the implementation collaborative will learn about how to create governance structures, maintain capital and integrate with health care professionals, public health agencies and social service organizations, the AMGA said.
