Employers looking to cut health insurance expenses are shifting costs to employees.
Among the things they are trying are increasing co-payments and coinsurance and requiring workers to pay a greater portion of their premiums, according to a study by the Commonwealth Fund. The Fund, a private foundation supporting research on health and social issues, surveyed 453 employers nationwide in 2002-03.
