Physician leaders worried that stricter conflict-of-interest standards for continuing medical education would stymie the flow of drug company dollars. But new data show that fear hasn't been realized.
In 2006, pharmaceutical company money going into CME was up about $93 million over the previous year. And, for the fourth year in a row, it accounted for 60% or more of CME income.
