The American Medical Association is taking some of its best-selling coding products and making them available online at a new interactive website.
Physicians can find the most up-to-date coding, billing and compliance changes on the website, AMA Coding Online. Doctors can choose from a variety of products and resources and the tools and references needed to stay current with constantly changing coding resources (link).
"The all-new online products are based on best-selling AMA coding resources that have been trusted and relied on for more than a decade," said Robert Musacchio, PhD, senior vice president of AMA business products and services. "Regular electronic updates through AMA Coding Online ensure that these Web-based products stay current with the latest information that users need for accurate medical coding."
References that are available for purchase include:
- CPT and ICD-9 coding tools that also store historical data with search by date-of-service functions.
- A monthly coding newsletter that comes with a searchable archive from 1990 to today.
- A database of all historical CPT code and guideline changes since 2000.
- An online Medicare fee schedule and information on the assignment of relative value units.
- An online edition of the quarterly Clinical Examples in Radiology newsletter, which is co-published by the AMA and the American College of Radiology.
The products range from $185 to $800 for a one-user, one-year subscription. Association members can save 25% off the regular price.
The CodeManager Online tool is available for a free 14-day trial. There also is a free webinar about using the tool.
